FJ Doucet was born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and has since lived in Europe, the Middle East, and in far northern Canada. She is a Canadian, a global citizen, and a Muslimah. Her poetry has been published in a number of online and print sources, including Hamilton Arts and Letters, Ascent Aspirations publications, grey borders and The Lyric magazines, Verse Afire, and The Saving Banister anthology, with work forthcoming in The Banister, and two anthologies by grey borders press and candlemark & gleam press. She is a member of The Brooklin Poetry Society and the Ontario Poetry Society.
