FJ Doucet was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and has since lived in Europe, the Middle East, and in far northern Canada. Recently appointed to the leadership of the Brooklin Poetry Society in Whitby, her poetry was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2019. Her work has most recently appeared in Feels Zine, Prometheus Unbound anthology collection, Martin Lake Journal, and CommuterLit, with verse forthcoming in the inaugural issue of Yolk, a Montreal-based literary journal, Daddy, an anthology by grey borders press, and Andromeda Spaceways Magazine. A life-long fan of speculative fiction, her prose science fiction was recently published in an anthology by Candlemark and Gleam press.
