Art enhances our lives. I’ve always enjoyed talking to other creatives about the magic that transforms the inception of their ideas into completed works. As a writer, I’m surrounded by other writers whom I adore—but still I craved these conversations with creators from other disciplines.

During a morning yoga session, an idea took shape in my mind. What a rich experience it would be to gather women from diverse art disciplines to showcase their work and exchange ideas! More dreams and plans followed, and with creative input from singer and songwriter, Cheryl Casselman, the concept evolved into The Wild Nellies.

The Wild Nellies is a growing collective of women creatives who share a passion for the healing power of creative self-expression. We gather to perform and exhibit our work, and to celebrate our sheroes — the women who inspire us. Our events raise awareness and funds for charities that support women in escaping domestic violence and finding their own voice.
