Premika Leo is a dancer, circus aerialist and actor. You may have seen her in several television series such as Kim’s Convenience and DC’s Titans. She has also starred as one of the leads in the digital series Couple-ish. Premika is currently running her dance company, Geetika Dance Co., which is one of the oldest dance companies in Canada, founded by Caribbean womxn, to offer Odissi, Nagara and Filmi(Bollywood) styles of dance with a focus on outreach and accessibility to the Caribbean community in the GTA. She uses both her educational background and dance company to share activist messages, creating spaces for broadly Caribbean representation on stage, while tackling and informing audience members on subjects such as anti-racism, intersectional feminism, QTBIPOC identity, and toxic masculinity in her community. Premika is committed to being a life long unlearner and learner.
